5 out of 5 stars Put the Metal to the Pedal...and Rock n Roll !!!   March 27, 2008

This modification is a gift from the gods....the gods of Rock!

I, like many others, enjoy banging on the skins of the drum kit in Rock Band. And, like many others, my pedal snapped under the extreme pressure from the demand of righteous rock.

Simply follow the detailed instructions that are included with kit and you are good to go in under 30 minutes. All you truly need is a phillips screwdriver and a sharp instrument to remove the original hinge pin (Your Sharon Stone autographed ice pick from "Basic Instinct" should do nicely).

The finished product is a sturdy and stylish pedal that will allow you to enjoy those hard and expert songs with confidence. It will be great for your Rock Band parties...just remember to double check it is still there when everyone is leaving lol.

This product is well worth the investment in both cost and time!!

4 out of 5 stars Maybe you shouldn't buy the hinge one-   September 4, 2008

I used this to repair my fractured pedal, and it worked like a charm. The pricing is fair, the delivery was quick, the instructions were clear and printed on nice paper with pictures. After a couple months of use (bought in February) The plastic hinge part broke on me at a barbecue over the summer. I've read other reviews about the hinge breaking, too. Even when the pedal is properly smooth there is still rubbing done on the plastic which will eventually snap it. I think buying the one without the hinge would be a better idea since the hinge is already sturdy enough. Most breaks occur in the middle of the pedal, and the plate guards against that. The only time there is a break on the hinge is when you play with your heel over it. Your heel should be on the smaller plate at the base of the pedal. If you stomp above that then it will break. Since the plastic hinge broke and I already threw away the factory metal rod hinge, I just bought a whole new set and applied the metal plate to the new pedal. Even without the hinge it works like a charm and it looks great.

5 out of 5 stars Your pedal will break!   February 22, 2008

My pedal was near breaking after a month of playing around with it. I have been drumming (real drumming) for 4 years and was kinda rough with my Rock Band pedal when I first got it. It soon began to crack and all my hope was lost. However, I decided to give this pedal repair a chance before I sent my Rock Band drum kit back to EA again. All I can say is that this thing really works.....awesome. It feels near close to a real drum pedal and gives you more precision while playing expert and hard! If your pedal is broke or near breaking then give this a chance before sending your kit away or buying a new one.

5 out of 5 stars Easier than some have said...   March 21, 2008

When I read some of the reviews on here, I was pretty wary of buying this thing, mainly due to the fact I'm the guy that buys something, screws it up to the point where it can't be used, and learns from that one and has to buy another one. But at the price it was at, sure, I'll take the risk. It came in the mail extremely quickly, which is great, because I have it all set-up for tonights rockband get-together. It took maybe 20 minutes for me to install. The instructions are detailed, and include great pics. The only mistake I could see myself or someone like me making is over-tightening the screws. They warn you multiple times of it, but it needs to be drilled into the brain of an upcoming purchaser. Just make the screws flush with the plate, and everything is perfect. Incredibly easy. It's not tying your shoes, but if you can't manage, maybe you shouldn't call yourself a man.

5 out of 5 stars A MUST HAVE!   March 29, 2008

Great product, Great service and Super fast shipping.

This is a MUST HAVE for any expert drum player. I was one of those who thought my flimsy plastic pedal would never break on me, and after 4 months it finally snapped. This is a great investment and it does not break your wallet at all.

why wait 3-6 weeks for a new pedal from EA when you can wait less then a week to rock out again.
