Are they Serious??? May 1, 2007 UW1999 (Irvine, CA United States) 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is supposed to be a next Gen Game for the PS3. I would say the graphics are not even up to par if it was for the PS2. This game is a renter at most. Even then I am not sure it is worth the price of a rental. Definitely not worth the 60 dollar price tag to buy. I could not be more disappointed with this game. I could go into the details of my extreme disappointment but the other negative reviews on this site pretty much say it all.
really good game May 21, 2007 Bryan W. Maclure 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Despite the bad reviews of this game for the PS3, I think that it is a really good FPS game. There is really no difference from the other versions of the game except for this version has a new level and gun. I think that it was a great buy, and I am looking forward to purchasing F.E.A.R. 2 for the PS3. Oh and the slow motion is siiiick!
A great game, mediocre presentation July 25, 2007 flanders706 (gamestop) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Ok, so FEAR on the PS3 is easily one of my favorite games. My favorite types of movies are action and horror and they blended both very well in this game. Sound: The sound on this game is perfect for setting the mood. The soundtrack is very creepy. Graphics: This is where the game really hurts. For a PS3 game, the graphics are disappointing to say the least. They really should have put more polish on this game. The lighting however is top notch. Gameplay: Even though this game is an FPS, the gameplay is actually quite different from the competition because of the horror elements. It made me jump a few times when Alma pops out in random spots. Even though the graphics need more work, this game is still really fun and should not be missed,
This Game Is Awesome April 27, 2007 A. Arvig (MN, USA, North America, Planert Earth) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I've been playing this for about 3 hours now and i have to say this game is worth every penny. I'm a big FPS fan and this is up there with Resistance. The game runs smoothly, load times arent too bad, and its just overall fun. The AI is very good and the scenery looks really good. The game itself is kind of creepy. I give the game 4 1/2 stars, it loses 1/2 a star for the maps, they can get kind of confusing sometime with not much help as to letting you know where to go, but if you wanted for a while you will figure it out. I recommend this game to anyone who likes this type of game, its definately worth it.
Good game, could've been better.. April 28, 2007 M. Mesina (Nor * Cal) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
Pros: Spooky and scary Story Line is good. Cons: Framerate is horrible Load time is horrible maps could've been detailed and they could've used more imagination. Online play is boring, nothing creative. I probably wont be playing this game after i finish it. Though it is a good game, i was somewhat disappointed. I'm having fun playing it... but i dont think the fun factor is going to last long. i'd love to lie to everyone about my rating because i'm a diehard PS3 fan... but you might just want to rent this game 1st.
