A great deal on two very good items in one! December 12, 2007 D. A. Tarver (The Burbs) 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
People were saying that Hard Boiled wasn't actually a blu ray film...that it was a dvd 480i rip and thats simply not true. You get the original film in all of its glory plus the sequel game. The film is old...its from the early 90s...and it wasn't shot with a hollywood budget to begin with. Translation? This 1080p release isn't going to look great...as I only noticed the splash of colors on a few scenes myself. As for the game its an instant classic! I wish more classic films allowed their stories to be told this way...although with that being said I'd still LOVE to see this translate back into the film genre real soon. For 70.00 bucks you can't beat one of the better PS3 releases and a throw-in blu ray classic!
stranglehold-hd? November 25, 2007 Justin W. Ryan (U.P. Michigan) 3 out of 7 found this review helpful
This is a very good action shooter. There are lots of scenes with a ridiculous amount of stuff exploding and debris flying around. Very exciting. This title was a big reason I bought my PS3. Unfortunately the game is only broadcast at 720p. It had been advertised as 1080p. I am still not very impressed with older movies that are converted to high def. I did enjoy the movie though (I had never seen it before).
So So December 13, 2007 Margarita Vargas (buffalo, usa) 2 out of 6 found this review helpful
This game is pretty fun, it looks good for the most part, some character model variation would've been nice, overall fine though. Unfortunately there are too many really good games that outclass this one. So I'll have to come back to it after I get my fix of COD 4, AC, Uncharted, Unreal 3, etc...
for super Chow Yun-Fat fans only!! December 25, 2007 C. Leung (New York, NY) 2 out of 10 found this review helpful
PROS: chow yun-fat voice acting, Hong Kong and Chicago background, Hard Broiled movie included, shooting up the environment is fun. CONS: Using the analog stick to aim is so frustrating. no manual save. if you screw up, you have to restart from the checkpoint. this is so ridiculous. no map and it's very easy to get lost. the Hard Broiled movie is not in HD. the color quality is poor. it's better than VCD quality but not as good as DVD. It is so disappointing to watch a movie this quality in a blu-ray disc. I like Chow Yun-fat, but not enough to recommend this to anyone. the game play really gets me so frustrating. Get this only if you are super crazy about Chow.

I look at different stores for this game , some were asking 70.00 for this same title. If anyone is looking for games goto amazon for best pricing.
