Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock Bundle What fun! Our family had a great time playing this! Very nice system. I would recommend this to my friends!
Best gift this Christmas! January 14, 2008 J. Green (CrabApplez) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is an great product. I bought for my husband, but ended up playing for hours myself. Amazon promised shipping on Christmas Eve, but product arrived 4 days early-what a great company! The only bad thing about this game is that they don't sell the wirelss guitar controller,(or any guitar controller) seperately for the PS3, so head-to-head play is impossible at this time, unless you play over the internet. Just a quick tip-guitar hero 1 and 2 are NOT compatible with PS3, so don't buy them. It's a real bummer too, b/c once you beat guitar hero 3, you'll be itching for new songs to shred on!
Good Game January 29, 2008 Lynda Richter 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Got this game for granddaughter for Xmas. She loves it and plays every day after school. When her friends come over on weekends, they both play. Great game keeps her on her feet instead of sitting in front of TV.
PS3 Guitar Hero III February 9, 2008 Nickey Todd Young (Eunice, LA USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Was disappointed at first because of guitar problems right out of the box(many complaints about the design have been posted), but figured out how to fix my issue. I have been hooked ever since, though! Very fun (and challenging) to say the least. It just kills me to miss only one note in a 400+ note song, so, I have to try and try again until I get it perfect. The ability to upload your scores to the GHIII website is really nice. It shows you how good (or bad) you are compared to all other GHIII players.
No immediate 2nd controller on the market makes this a 4/5 February 23, 2008 .... (.............) If you would take away the fact that activision still hasn't released a second control for this game, making co-op useless (a sick sales catch?) this game is 5 stars. Overall, the guitar and game work perfectly and the game is loads of fun. There are 40 songs and about 30 more bonus songs that you can upload early into career mode. Despite the absence of co-op for now, the career is engaging, the music is good, the music has stylistic versatility, and each song is a new kind of challenge (speed or rhythm). The guitar responds well to your motion. even though the star power may be sensitive, it works better when sitting because you can stay in your playing groove when activating star power. Hes how I rate the game from individual catergories. Graphics 3/5: Not much improvement and not available in 1080p. Solo gameplay 5/5: Fun, engaging, and versatile Song selection 5/5: very well done, good new and old music. If you dont like classic rock, the bonus songs have harder (emo, metal) and more experimental alternative music. Classics and fun surprises. Multiplayer 0/5: sadly unavailable at this time unless you buy two bundles wasting you $60 on another game. Depth 4/5: Without multiplayer, the game has many songs but too much paralellism between difficulty levels. Customizable features are adequate, buy unimpressive. Bugs 5/5: In an age of sickening bugs (no pun intended) this game has just about zero major bugs and glitches (have noticed any minor ones either). Well done by the makers to test their game, but they didn't test their sales strategy. Overall 4/5: The exclusion of a seperate controller is shocking and head-scratching, but activision released a fine product ready for the marketplace unlike some games these days. brilliant job of selecting songs and making gameplay fun, challenging, and long lasting.
