Excellent guitar for the money April 28, 2008 P. Sienkiewicz (Long Beach, CA United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have been looking for a second Rock Band guitar that is compatible with Guitar Hero for a long time. I am glad to see there is finally one available and I am very happy with my purchase. The instructions are wrong, this is known now, and once I did the proper sequence to sync to guitar there were no problems. The guitar has a very solid feel to it, and the fret is excellent. I like how the buttons are spaced, there is a gap between each one, so no more pressing two down on accident. Overall, this is a very solid product, and will be my main choice of guitar when playing from now on. No complaints from me at all, purchase this if you have friend's over while you play Rock Band!
Decent price but could be better... April 29, 2008 T. Schultz (Somewhere on Earth) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
Great playing guitar for the price. The length of the neck is more in-line with the Rock Band guitar which is good for us older folks. However there was some linking issues that took awhile to sort out.
PS3 Frontman Wireless Guitar-what a rip-off May 7, 2008 Angie (Minneapolis, MN) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
When compared to the overall appearance of the Rockband wireless guitar, this thing looks like a cheaply-made piece of crap. It is a shame that they would charge just as much for it. Another problem that I had personally is that the neck of the guitar is fatter, therefore harder to get my small hands around. While the entire fret is the button on the Rockband guitar, the Frontman only has a button in the middle of the "fret" that you have to hit. Overall, I am very dissapointed with this guitar, HOWEVER...it stums better than the Rockband guitar, just like a Guitar Hero guitar (even makes the clicking noise)...for this reason...my boyfriend says we have to keep the damn thing.
Great guitar with multi-game functionality May 19, 2008 Moonwalker 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I got this because I own Rock Band and wanted the extra guitar in that game while still having the ability to get an unbundled Guitar Hero game later. Although structurally it looks more like a Guitar Hero guitar, it works great for Rock Band (although I have not tried it on a Guitar Hero game). I, like several other people here, had a frustrating time getting it to start because the instruction manual is wrong about how to get it going (you have to click the Nyko button about three times before it will connect to the foot pedal), but once I got it going, I had no problems and it was great. Can someone confirm whether this guitar works with Guitar Hero: Aerosmith and/or Guitar Hero II for the PS2 (obviously in the PS3).
Frustration... June 19, 2008 Eric (SLC, UT United States) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
We spent hours trying to get this to connect to our PS3 with no luck. After more frustrating hours on the phone with Nyko's tech support, we were told to ship it back to Amazon due to a faulty pedal. Lo and behold - we can't get a replacement any longer!!! I know several people have worked through the initial connection issues, but we had no such luck. Buy at your own risk - looks like we're going to be stuck buying two separate guitars to properly jam. :(
