first off,im not a kid im in my twenties,im just to lazy to sign in...secondly i use to have another adapter and it craped out on me for some reason and i kept losing connection so i got this one, although this adapter was expensive id does the job perfectly,my roter is two floors down from my 360 and the connection is flawless, its worth the money...who cares if its 100 bucks as long as it work great. i am impressed and give this 5 stars

4 out of 5 stars Buy only if you can spare $99 and don't have the older Xbox WiFi adapter   April 13, 2006

I'm shocked that the so called "next-gen" console isn't even WiFi enabled out of the box. This is crazy. Microsoft makes up the money lost on consoles with accessories like these.
Very few people will have their Tv/Xbox near the computer and router. Hence most will need a WiFi adapter. Here's where microsoft makes its money charging $99 for an accessory that really should've been included with this next-gen console. Or sold for like $30.

Anyways, I saved $99 by using the original Xbox WiFi adapter. It only does g not a but its working great. !

My advise - if you have the original Xbox WiFi adapter, use that, else save your money.

5 out of 5 stars A little trouble to set up but overall brings a great experience.   November 2, 2006

I enjoy having wireless...especially with broadband. I have my router over 20 ft from the adapter yet my signal stays strong. Set up is easy for most. Although if you have a Linksys router WRT 54G ver. 2 get ready for some work. It took me four calls before someone gave me the right advice. Since then I have not had any problems. A little expensive but worth it in the long run.

1 out of 5 stars Total RipOff!!!   August 2, 2007

First I like to say how XBOX brags on how much cheaper they are to the PS3. ONE WORD, Totally untrue! Of course I had to purchase the 360 to find out. Co'mon $100 for a wireless adapter, when ps3 is built in. I'm sure it cost them like $10 from China to produce. If you must purchase one, buy the LINKSYS!!! I got it on sale at Best Buy for only $50 and it works with any game console, not just the XBOX. The XBOX WIFI does not have it's own power supply, it has to get it from the hardware itself, causing it to heat up even more. As if you needed to get it any hotter then it already is, especially with it's hardware problems.

When you add the adapter to the 360 premium system, that's $500 right there!!! Don't the PS3 sell theirs for $500 also, but it also has a Blu-ray player and free online.

MICROSOFT stop lying to the consumers and nickel and diming us!!!

3 out of 5 stars Drop The Price!   December 8, 2007

I'm going to say it right now to any Microsoft Employee or someone affiliated with them: I am NOT paying $100 for this. MAYBE, MAYBE at $50.

If it were say... $30, then I'd buy it right away.

Remember when the Playstation 3 dropped its price, and sales rose? Same principle. Drop the Price, and You Gain Sales.

I was completely shocked when I heard the price. Way too expensive.
