XBox360 December 11, 2007 W. C. Hulse (Dallas, TX USA) The unit has operated well right out of the box. it's noisy as hell and cannot be separated from the monitor by more than 3 to 4 feet. Consequently, the user will require the remote control simply to place the Xbox and the monitor far enough away to minimize the whine of the disk drive and fan assembly. It appears that an optimal configuration will be to use Boze noise quieting headphone with a 40-50in HD monitor placed some 25 feet distant. Clearly a remote control for the XBox will be essential. The video quality is great even displayed on a vintage analog TV. The control unit for the 360 is better than the PS2/3 ... i'm not sure why separating the two sticks makes so much difference, but it does. The 360 controller seems to be easier to master in this new configuration also. All-i-all the system is great, noisy but great. If you're planning to play on-line for an extended a period of time, the user require the best headset you can find ... other than that, it's been happy days. WC Hulse
Xbox 360 from a frequent player January 4, 2008 C. D. Hudkins 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
This system is great. It came with everything I needed. The quality is out of this world. It is worth the extra dough to get the hard drive and be hd ready.
Great console - even better for free February 1, 2008 freeconsole.net 0 out of 7 found this review helpful
online gaming is excellent , wide selection of titles , looks smarter in black but why pay all that money when you can get one free from www.freeconsole.net , i got mine from there for just signing up to a free no obligation dvd rental trial , give it a go www.freeconsole.net
Better Than The Other Two May 2, 2008 L. Medlyn 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I believe that this "360" version was a better buy to begin with. Of course we got the best money could buy when it came out but should my brother have to of sent the first one he bought in to the company so they could send him back a newer version of the same problem? No, I don't think so. The best way to get the "360" with the better processor is to check the manufacture date on the box before buying. Your best bet right now is to get the best money can buy with the lastest date. Overall we have not experienced any "red ring of death" in our current system but I still don't actually trust the product. Just take my advice and wait awhile and by that I mean a long time because the one we bought from here is still not the one with the processor or motherboard or what have you that this system needs.
IT'S GREAT June 19, 2008 Amy C. Scriever 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
On-line play is great. X-box live is expensive. We bought this mostly for Halo 3. We have not been disappointed.
