If you like air combat/simulation games and Ironman this is a must May 21, 2008 A. Artolozaga 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This game might be boring for some, but in my personal case I am a huge fan of Ironman and also flight simulation/war games (like TFX, EF2000 and its sequels, US Navy Fighters, Red Baron... you get it if you know any of these titles). I love it so far
Great Game!! You are going to be challenge later June 5, 2008 stacey 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I enjoy purchasing this game. I thought it was going to be another lame title to make money. But it was well worth it value. There are playable mission & you will be challenge on some mission. But if you like me, and re-think what you did wrong, they can be overcome. If you like shooting up & Thumb fighting game, this is for you. But beware that you might not finish it on the first time.. This will take time.
Underappreciated July 5, 2008 Matt E. Lang (St. Louis, MO USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I found this game to be fun, even though it was a video game that coincided with a movie. I know it has gotten bad reviews from other sites and gaming magazines, but I have to disagree with them. The game does take some time getting used to the controls are a little advanced, but can be quickly mastered. The only thing I fell is missing from this game is a target lock. It is often difficult at first to target an object, but again you get used to this after the first 2-3 levels. The unlockable suits were fun to explore and the voice acting was great. The game itself is short (it is a movie game though) and will probably last you around 8 hours or more depending on difficulty and if you unlock the other suits.
Horrible Game May 7, 2008 Ron Sullivan (Philadelphia, PA United States) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
There hasn't been a game in quite some time that I thought was terrible, pretty much across the board, but 'Iron Man' managed to hit it. From terribly repetitive levels with re-spawning enemies, to it unnatural flight controls and a bad targeting system; 'Iron Man' manages to fail at damn-near everything it tries to do. This is the best-example of every criticism of a "movie game" I've ever seen. Sure, each level in the 'Iron Man' world is huge and gives a good impression of NOT being in a fish-bowl like some other games do. At the same time however, the graphics to that world are flat-out disgusting. In my opinion, for what is supposed to be a next-gen game, 'Iron Man' may be the worst-looking yet. The ability to upgrade your armor is a nice new spin, but, unfortunately, just can't overcome the fact that everything else is going so completely wrong. Even the voice acting is lousy. Robert Downey Jr and Terrance Howard reprise their film roles and you can almost hear the indifference (or distain) in their voices. It's almost as if they realize how bad this is and want to get out as fast as possible. To summarize ... the movie is absolutely terrific and gets my highest praise and recommendation. Take whatever you would have spent on the game and go see the film again. For the REALLY curious the demo is availible for free on both xBox Live and The Playstation Network. Don't let this waste ruin the experience for you ...
Waste of Money May 21, 2008 crLovesMovies (LA, CA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
My eleven-year-old nephew finished this game in a couple hours, and no, he's not some video game prodigy. It's very clear to me that this game was an after thought to cash in on the timing of the movie. It doesn't have to be that way, though. My nephew has gotten hours upon hours of fun from his Spiderman video games. In this case, though, it's obvious something was just slapped together with little development effort. What a waste of money, and more important, a HUGE disappointment to the kids who eagerly anticipated it.
