Great addition....but have been greater July 3, 2008 Katherine J. Keller (Rockford, MI USA) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have gotten every Sims 2 Expansion and Stuff pack released, so no hesitation for getting IKEA Home Stuff. I played the game for a couple hours and I think IKEA Home Stuff has a lot to offer...but it could have added so much more. I was a little disappointed that IKEA Home Stuff didn't come with new clothes or hair, like Kitchen and Bath did. I was also disappointed that, while the furniture and everything is great, there's nothing extraordinary about it. It's nothing new, just a restyling of we've always had. Everything stays pretty much the same (I wonder why we still don't have laptops for the Sims? Is there an Apple Stuff pack on the horizon?) What I did like is that you are able to put stuff on top of the dressers, which I've always wanted to do. The decorating items are cool, but no new styles for the bedclothes. Over all, I think it's a good purchase and makes for a great plausible stepping stone on our way to Apartment Life.
My daughter loves this stuff pack! June 27, 2008 T. Nguyen 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I honestly have to say that the latest expansion pack The Sims 2: Ikea Home Stuff has been more than a great add on for my daughter's collection. She absolutely loves the cute and trendy items that come in this expansion pack & for 20.00 it wasn't that bad of a price. Your paying 20.00 for items that can be used all around your sim's home. You get new beds, dining tables, chairs, desks, bookshelves, rugs, accesories to complete your sims home to give it that modern edgy look we have today in the 21st century. The expansion pack also comes with 2 fully furnished houses so it's move in ready. I suggest to any sims lover you purchase this stuff pack. Every dollar was worth it!
Very Disappointing July 15, 2008 Jenn (Dearborn, MI USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have been a Sims player since the original Sims came out back in 2000 and have every expansion pack and stuff pack for Sims and Sims 2. Of all the expansions/stuff packs, this is by far the most disappointing. The number of items (or lack thereof)is shameful given previous releases and like other reviewers, I, too, was shocked at the lack of high comfort items. I love IKEA and Sims rarely disappoints, but they didn't hit the mark with this one. It's still a must for die-hard fans, but it's worth waiting until it hits the sale bins.
Not bad! June 27, 2008 pandora80 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Well, I just bought this stuff pack the other day, and frankly, I find that it's not half bad! I don't care for the new wallpapers much, but that's just me. The person before me mentioned that they could not tell the old stuff from the new. Here's a way to make that easier. All you have to do is go into "Buy Mode" and below "Sort by Room" and "Sort by Function", you'll find an icon that looks like a folder. That is where your IKEA stuff collections (as well as other themed collections) will be stored so as to get to it more easily. Now, for those of you Sims 2 veterans out there, you already know this, but in writing a good review, I feel it's helpful to explain as much as one can. I guess the only thing I was disappointed about was the fact that the IKEA stuff pack did not come with a pre-made IKEA store lot, the way H&M stuff came with an H&M store. As far as the issue with SecuROM goes, I had no problems installing this game, OR playing it. That being said, the computer I play it on is NOT connected to the internet, and it is a fairly new computer (only a few yrs. old). I suppose it all depends on the individual's computer. Anyway, I hope this review was helpful to you all. Have a great day, and Happy Simming!
Beautiful Furnishings for my simmies to enjoy July 3, 2008 MetalheadMissy74 (Canton,Ny 13617) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
I am a sims aholic . I seen this coming out I had to have it. Glad I picked it up as I love building lots being one of my favorite things bout sims games. Creating lots beautiful houses. Having open for buisiness will be fun with this pack as well. Make my own Ikea store for my sims to shop in. I think the furnishings and decor that came in this pack are beautiful. I am glad I picked it up when I seen it. I am also looking quite foreward to that apartment life pack as well. They just keep makng beautiful things for our sims. I can't wait to see what they're going to do with the sims 3 it should be amazing. I have followed the Series since the sims 1 was out. The entire collection just bout of the sims and the sims 2. probably will 3 as well. Its just so much fun to build, play with our sims. See their reaction to the things we get for them. This here as with the real ikea stuff in real life adds beautiful touches to the homes I build makes them more visually appealing as well. Thats all I have to say bout this other then I am highly impressed with this pack.
