This game is a great way to waste a weekend. It was difficult to master the controls at first, but once I moved past that simple obstacle, I had a great time. I like the difficulty of the game, and it's realism.
It's unlike Halo or Time Splitters 2 where you can just blast your way through when you get in trouble. You really have to think and maneauver.
Controlling four squad members at once is a very interesting and fun tactically. This is a perfect mix between real time strategy formats and first person shooter, and the command options really add a sense of depth to the strategies.
I played it with a few of my buddies, and we really enjoyed the multiplayer games. All in all, it's worth the fifty bucks.

this game is now added to my short list of xbox favorites. This games got everything great graphics, EXTREMELY realistic (airstrikes, c4, m16, and of course SNIPERS), another thing is that you can upgrade the inividuals on my team based on the individuals play in the previous level. Its got very clever squad based action and easy command usage, and my favorite anti tank missles. One of the only bad things about this game is that its a little slow on switching weapons. Last thing the enemy AI is one of the best i have ever seen.

My roommate purchased this game in the hopes of having something like Quake to play on his XBox. He didn't get what he expected, but it's a great game nonetheless.Focused more on strategy and teamwork than massive, fast-paced guns & glory style action, Conflict is a very challenging game. Playing in single player mode, you must control a team of four people - but only one at any given time. In the meantime, your teammates follow horrendous AI and are usually the reason you're angrily slamming the reset button. The multiplayer, on the other hand, is fantastic! Instead of faulty computer AI controlling your team, you and your friends join forces to complete the same campaign as the single player. Because teamwork is so vital, actually being able to communicate with your team members (your friends) is crucial, and works well. Countless times I've put down a research paper because someone in the hall is shouting "Conflict!" followed by shouts of "I want the sniper!" and "I want the demo guy!" etc. If you want a FPS that requires some actual thought or simply want a fun game for more than one person, get this game.

Conflict desert storm is a terrific game based on the persain gluf war. It really got trashed by Xbox magazine. There is no multiplayer but there is cooperative play which is easier than single player. Killing tanks are tough and the best way is with a rocket launcher. However you have limited ammo. I suggest killing SCUD missles with c4 explosives and kill the tanks with rocket launchers or tank mines if the tank is moving. The graphics rock and there is a good frame rate. If you love the vehicle driving in Halo, you will be disapointed. There are hardly any vehicles to drive. The game is very realistic. For instance on one mission you go to Bagdad to rescue some guy. The city is very realistic with mosques and markets. In a different level, you have to fight your way through a sand storm. Out pf a scale of 1-100 with 100 being the highest, i give it a 93 which is an A-. There are only 15 levels which are mostly tough. Your soldiers get better but so do Iraqi forces. I suggest buying this game and you should have a lot of fun with it...
Time for team shooter action September 13, 2002

Just pre-ordered this today and am anxiously awaiting it's release. The screen-shots look great and I love the idea of having friendly shooters(us forces) going into battle like certain battle sequences in halo. Should be a great game.
****4 stars because i've only played the computer demo and don't know exactly how it's transition to x-box will be****
