Worst fighting game ever! August 25, 2003 James Coe (Chicago, IL USA) I have the ultimate misfortune of having wasted money on this lousy game. If it were possible to give a rating of zero stars here I would. It is, in my opinion, the WORST fighting game EVER.The characters look like of bunch of clowns, literally -- bad knock off crosses between pro-wrestlers and circus clowns. The skinning looks like plastic. The gameplay is ridiculously easy, not to mention boring and repetitive. The so-called fountains of sparks and such are one corner in one arena. The arenas are all simple squares with no interesting features whatsoever. The blood effects are simply too pathetic to go into. In short this is an elementary tech demo not a finished game and I am shocked that it was ever released in the state it's in. THEY SHOULD PUT A SKULL AND CROSSBONES POISON SYMBOL ON THE PACKAGE BECAUSE YOU WILL DIE OF BOREDOM PLAYING IT!!!
Laughable April 12, 2007 Tyler Hendrick (Brooklyn, NY) I have to be honest, I'm no expert on fighting games..but this game fails in basically every aspect. Horrible controls, forgettable characters, bad story mode, and probably the worst sound effects ever in a next-gen game. The ONLY reason to pick this game up is because its rare because it was only sold for about a month in stores, and might be a collectible someday, but if your looking for a fighting game on the Xbox run far from this and get Dead or Alive.
Just an average fighter October 2, 2008 J. Negron (milwaukee, wisconsin United States) I am a fighter junky. I have played them all from street fighter to Tekken 5. I have been looking forever for this game when I heard they were going to take it off the market. I figured it will be a collector one day and well hey, its a fighter. Let me start off with the good stuff. The Graphics are NICE. Smooth textures, animations, reflections, reactions really all top notch. The fighting is quick and not as jerky as some other people have said. I found it to be quite smooth. Here comes the bad. The button layout is very weird. One three buttons, low medium and high. The rest are custom buttons that you can make as grab moves or your unblockable move. The small amount of buttons makes for very limited amounts of combos that you can pull off. All the ones you can are very easy. In most cases, you can hit one button five times and get a five hit combo. Yes, I have beat the game using ONE BUTTON. YUK! The story mode is not there. You pick a player, you fight 10 matches and then at the end, you get a lame wrap-up of what you character did after the tournamment. You do not get an explanation of the creepy looking final boss. She is just some crazy looking horned chick who is easy to beat. The game just seem incomplete. I guess the game is all about the juggle combos. I have seen some sick ones pulled off on YOUTUBE but that is if you can remember how to pull of a launching move. I do it sometimes and I dont mean to. When you are fighting it kind of feels like Tekken 1 or Virtual fighter 2. There is just not much you can do in this game. If this game came out when Tekken 1 came out, it would get 5 stars. Now a days, it is just average. There are MANY other better fighting games out there but definateley a good one to get for the fighting game lover.
