spelling and word fun April 27, 2004 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
If you love puzzle games, board games, word games or spelling things you should buy this game. I really like Scrabble and Bookworm is like being able to play Scrabble when no one is around. I really like how the game will tell you definitions of some words and that it keeps track of the longest words you make and the words that have lots of points. This is a game that is good for kids and adults. Even younger kids can play it.
Great for Kids May 18, 2004 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
This is a wonderful learning tool for the young. Older or mature players will become frustrated as the bookworm does not include many words that adults easily say. This game is a big hit at first, but then you begin to get frustrated on account of The Bookworm's lack of normal words in a working vocabulary.
Love this game! July 10, 2004 Raven (California) 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
I found out this game was going to be on gameboy and was so happy. I got a release date for it but when it came time the game was no longer in the computer of the store I went to. Finally I found it. This game is very addicting. I have not had any problems with freezing or anything like that. The rating system on here can be unfair. Its only averaging 2 1/2 stars because theres quite a few reviews with no stars but the reviewer loves the game.
Even a mom likes it! July 28, 2004 Happy Mom 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
We bought this computer game and loved it! The game boy game is even better in some ways. This is the only game I like to play and I am actually happy when my son requests it. We have both learned a lot and have a great time playing!
Best Word Game Ever! July 14, 2005 Joyce Ronquillo (Lacombe, LA) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I used to play this at PopCap's web site where I couldn't save my game. When the electricity burped I lost my game and threatened massive retribution on the electric company. I use a Mac and PopCap had no plans to export to my platform so I did the only thing reasonable. I bought a GBA and the game. Now I can save and play this extremely addictive game whenever and wherever I want to. Plus there is the cool factor. I'm a middle-aged mom whose teen son and friends think it is way cool that mom has a GBA. After you learn the ways of the flaming tiles you'll be okay but it will get difficult building words when half of the screen is vowels and the flaming tile is a U! Oh, you can have more than one player name so you can keep multiple games saved. Save frequently so you can back up and start over while trying for a bonus word because flaming tiles come frequently about then.
