Pleasantly surprised December 30, 2005 I bought this game because I am fasinated by racing games for the GBA. I saw this game a week before I purchased it, and it looked really cool. So I bought it, and I liked it. The game is slightly odd, but that's why I liked it so much. The story mode is good, the time attack is good, ect. The reason why I didn't give this a 5 star rating is because nothing is perfect, and I am sure if I got a perfect version of this game and compared it to this one, I could find some cons.
One of the best racers on the GBA June 29, 2006 N. Durham (Philadelphia, PA) As far as racing games go for the GBA, the small library that does exist isn't the best. Thank Nintendo for F-Zero: GP Legend; another installment of the futuristic racing series that is undoubtadly the best of the series to ever grace the GBA. Offering a horde of different racers and racing modes, variety is the name of the game here, as F-Zero offers superb graphics and makes excellent use of the GBA's control scheme (since it makes frequent use of the shoulder buttons, it's actually better to play on an original GBA as opposed to the GBA SP) as you race throughout the varied tracks while trying to keep your vehicle from going up in smoke. The gameplay is simple and easy to get into for novices, while it still offers challenging gameplay for veterans of the series. F-Zero: GP Legend bares more resemblance to the classic original Super NES title than any other game in the series on any other platform, and next to Mario Kart: Super Circuit it's the best racer for the GBA. All in all, consider this essential playing.
Old school racing goodness. October 22, 2008 1000falcon (Mobile, USA) Being a Nintendo fan for life I grew up with the F-Zero series. I actually recently purchased this game just to get that feel for the Mode-7 racing games again. I didn't think I would play it that much but ended up loving it. Its really fast and the controls, while take a bit to get used to, are tight and responsive. Its got a great story and just a blast to play. I have a huge Nintendo collection and this is a great addition to it.
