The reviews are true. August 22, 2007 JOHN P. Ranaudo 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought this item to use with my treo 700w and it works great. No lost connections or any problems. Users can hear me fine and I can hear them as well. Terrific speaker lets me hear someone over kids screaming. People on the other line could not tell the difference in my voice. Also, with the 33 days of standby time I only have to charge it like every 25 days and if I turn it off instead of leaving it on standby I might not need to charge for 2 months!

After trying many many handsfree gadgets this is the one that finally works well. Smart design and engineering from Blueant and they did not skimp on anything here: 1. The microphone is noise suppressing and echo cancelling which makes conversations great. 2. The mic can rotate in one plane allowing for flexible placements. I wish they added movement in both planes but no biggie. 3. The speaker is really high performance making it usable even when driving under noisy road conditions. 4. The clips that fit snugly into the visors hold the supertooth using strong magnets. How they managed to squeeeze in the magnets, bluetooth, speaker and mic so close to each other with minimal interference I can never guess. 5. The bluetooth pairing works well and easy. If you see reviews of people complaining about this it is just because they are just too dumb to figure it out. 6. Solid battery life. 7. Car charger as well as AC charger are included to make sure you never run out of juice. Highy recommended
Good not great.... March 22, 2007 S. Morganville 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
The WSJ sang the praises of the BlueAnt... Now I agree it is very clear and the person calling comes in clear and loud... BUT at times especially the first time you try to voice dial each day... It doesn't always connect to the phone's voice dialing system.. you have to open the phone,, turn the Blue ant on and off and then it seems fine from then on... Now I do have a phone that isn't on the list of phones in the instruction manual BUT Motorola should be Motorola and Bluetooth should be bluetooth... By the way Battery life is incredible!!!
Truly Impressive! May 13, 2007 F. Martorana (Los Angeles, CA USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Once you have one, you will not want want to go back to holding a phone up to your ear while driving. I find myself hoping someone will call because it is so freeing to be able to talk without distraction. I initially was looking for one that was hardwired but am very glad I bought this one instead. Ease of use is an understatement. It just works! It is designed to cancel out noise but in the space a few feet from it, so most people don't even know I am on speaker. Just the other day, I had a friend in the car and I was talking using the device and near the end of ther conversation, the focus shifted to my passenger talking and the person coming through the device said they coudn't hear them that well. They finally said, "Wait, am I on speaker?" The only reason they knew was because I was coming in crystal clear being within the range and the passenger sounded far away. I snapped the Supertooth out its magnetic holster and held it facing my passenger and they thought it was off speaker again, even though it wasn't. So yes, it is powerful, but does not pick up the road noise and or yelling in the back if you have kids (within reason, of course.) The battery last FOREVER. I have had it for months and it has not died. I finally recharged it just to get a jump on it, but it did not say to after weeks and weeks of use. Regardless, whether you get one of these or another one that works well, these are a must have. And if you are unsure whether to get this one, know that it is a slam dunk. You'll love it. Oh, but fiddle with the volume. Every car has a different sweet spot. You want it just loud enough to hear but not too loud to reverberate. Once it's there you can just forget about it. And make sure you flip it open when you get in the car, so it is always ready. Otherwise you'll have to anwer with your phone and switch over. Then enjoy.

This was Barron's Magazine tech piece of the week, and I was looking for something just like it. The bluetooth in my vehicle had the mic below the steering wheel & it would pick up every noise. The noise-canceling system integrated in this device is wonderful. GET IT!!!!!!
