Love it, but be wary December 11, 2007 Little Lisa (Provo, UT) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I've had this phone for almost a month and I've loved every second of it. I'm a long time Nokia user and finally switched to Sony for the slider and alleged superior vocal quality. I love the w580i for its small size, functionality, and endless array of features. Unfortunately, my pampered little phone has already had a button break, something I find unacceptable before at least the year mark. Also, the sound is not much better than my former Nokia (even after the Nokia had broken in half...love the flip phone). But like I said, I still love this phone. It is snazzy and fresh and cooler than lime jello on a hot summer day.
Best Phone I have Ever Owned ;) March 4, 2008 Courtney Mann (Raleigh, NC) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Recently, my boyfriend and I decided to get an AT&T family plan and we chose these phones due to the fact that they had the best features of all of the AT&T phones, other then the iPhone of course. The W580i has great reception, an FM radio, mp3 and video functionality with a memory card, 2 megapixel camera, mobile messaging, bluetooth, and comes with its own head phones which function as a head set. I've never been happier with the functionality and reception of my phone at the same time. For the price here, I'd take this phone over the iPhone any day, keeping in mind that I don't need a phone with extensive internet capabilities. The only issue I can see with the phone is that the key pad is relatively small. It's probably a good idea to check one out in a store if you think this might be an issue for you. Additionally, My boyfriend and I have had the phones for over 4 months now and we've had no issues with the durability. I keep reading reviews on how these phones feel cheap and the keypads break, but it just hasn't been the case with our two at all. Our first impression was that the phones *felt* like they weren't durable. But, experience has shown that the ones we own are. And to be honest, I drop my phone *a lot*. The battery cover popped off once or twice but I popped it back on. I love this phone.
Sony Ericcson W580i October 26, 2007 J. Gonzalez (Austin, TX) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this phone about a month ago and so far I am satisfied with the phone features and design. I am still learning how to use some of the fitness applications that this phone comes with, it's so featured packed. I like the slider design, just make sure to lock the keys so that you don't accidentally dial out when it's in your pocket. My one complaint is in the Messaging menu, you cannot scroll down to view the other text messages once you open one to view it, you have to go back and then select the next one. This is inconvenient, having to exit the message you are reading just to read the next or previous message. I think it is a design fault in the software. Other than that I gave it a 4 out of 5!

I like this phone. if u lose it, get some one to call it and you would be able to hear it about 100 yards away, it has very loud speakers, and the music sounds great. THIS PHONE IS TOUGH
So far, so good. December 1, 2007 Christina S. Moore (Appleton, WI) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
So far I have been very happy with the W580i. The biggest issue I have had was with the battery cover on the phone. It was nearly impossible to get it to slide on tightly. After speaking with a Sony Ericsson rep, they explained that it is indeed difficult to get on, but for good reason. Apparently it needs to fit tightly in order to prevent it from opening up if the phone drops. However, I have already dropped the phone once and the battery cover flew off along with the battery. Other than that, I don't have any complaints. The reception is great...and it is one slick looking phone. The features aren't too shabby, either.
