Blackberry 8300 OEM leather pouch August 18, 2007 George J. Abdallah (Parma, Ohio United States) 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
I purchased this because this model was the only OEM clip/holster/leather case that I could find and Amazon has it the cheapest I've seen yet. I am very please with it. I did second guess it after reading reviews on here about it, but for my needs it works great and I have no negative issues with it. I was very impressed with the seller as well. The product arrived in no time.
I share the VER SAME thoughts ! ! ! July 20, 2007 Believer (New York) 3 out of 8 found this review helpful
"The case and functionality with the device are nice. The magnetic closure is effective and quick to use, and if you've set your device correctly, email will open automatically as it should when the Blackberry is removed from the case. However, the belt clip is terrible. Even if you're just a bit overweight, the top of the clip will jab you in the "love handles" section of your sides. The clip is extended in a way that makes no sense - for leverage when unclipping, I guess, and it's terribly frustrating. Not to mention the fact that it gets snagged on things and will break. I'm on my second holster already. The Blackberry Curve is a great device. But I'm not sure there's a better clip/holster alternative for it. I wish there were - or that RIM would fix this holster clip." THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS GOING TO WRITE. So here it is :)
Excellent product August 16, 2007 E. Amiel (Glendale, AZ) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I was very pleasatly surprised to find this item to be the genuine article. It is in fact made of soft leather with the blackberry logo. The BB screen does go dark when inserted in the holster, fits in perfectly and the magnetic flap works like a charm. The swivel clip works well and as intended also. The best part is that this item cost me about half of what I would have paid to RIM (if they had it in stock!). I would definitely buy from this seller again.
So far so good February 29, 2008 R. Lo (Seattle, WA United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I just got this case today for my T-Mobile Blackberry Curve 8320 so while this review may be a bit premature, I figured I'd never get around to doing one unless I do it now. The case looks and feels nice. The leather is of good quality but it's a bit soft. The clip and swivel feel pretty solid so far. The whole case is a bit bulky so this is really only for wearing on your belt. If you flip it around and clip it in your front pocket, it bulks out too much to be comfy. I'd be self conscious of it sticking out. I also bought one of those generic skins and the BB fits fine in this holster even with the skin on. The elastic on the sides of the holster flexs enough to allow it to fit. Both sides of the holster have a indent to protect the trackball but I find that putting the phone in backwards (screen facing the clip-side) works better. The backside has a long indented track (like the case that came with the blackberry) to protect the trackball but the front side has a fixed indentation point which only protects the trackball when it's in its fully holstered and lined-up position. I find that putting it in with the screen facing out results in the phone activating and dialing the last call. Although the holster is suppose to disable the keypad and turn off the screen, it doesn't quite work well with the phone facing frontward. I think it's just that by the time the magnet sensor is in the right proximity to the phone, the buttons or trackball has already been pushed. Sometime I'll put it in and the screen will go dark but then when the phone is fully inserted, the screen turns on again, then off again and then dials the last number! So, I'll just have to stick to putting it in backwards where the trackball is protected the entire length of the holster.
I got a defective one - Would you? Love to holster destroyed by breach of trust. March 5, 2008 Boogedy Boogedy Boo 2 out of 7 found this review helpful
I used this for 4 months and loved it. The love was shattered when trust was lost. While riding an escalator I brushed against the holster (I guess, as I didn't feel any impact) and the clip disconnected from the case sending the holster and the blackberry down the escalator steps. I got a defective one (see pictures uploaded). Would you? Blackberry wasn't affected, so this review deserves two starts, but since the Blackberry landed so close to the platform edge the product gets a single star. Are you a manufacturer or a seller? Does this product worth a better review or another chance? Prove me wrong send me another pair. Until then, this review stands, pictures show the defects, and I thank Web 2.0 for allowing me to influence the future quality of a product as buyers vote with their wallets.
