Yes, it really is THAT BAD. November 10, 2006 Patrick R. Michaud (Plano, Texas USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I saw the reviews for this product that said that the reception and sound quality were poor, but I also saw other reviews that indicated it might be okay. So, I decided to take a chance on it, just to see what my experience would be. The MMR-60 is worthless -- the signal was so weak as to be, well, unlistenable. I spent an hour or so trying different radio settings and finally decided it was a lost cause. Save yourself some money and time, don't bother with this product.
Don't waste your money unless you planned to use it outside the city November 11, 2006 Jose Baldwin Delgado (Asuncion, Paraguay) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This thing works good but only very close to the receiver, and don't even try to use it in the car unless you can make it levitate just above the radio, it won't work even from the passenger seat. It's good for use it in the country thou, place you're phone over the radio and then it works good.
It works well, but it has some warts March 17, 2007 John Bloch 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
It works for me, but the range is a bit short. Its more convenient than using an annoying wire and cassette adapter, but it chews up the battery pretty fast and there is no way to charge the phone while the transmitter is connected. However, I am not able to charge the phone with a Sony Ericsson Multimedia Music Cable MMC-70 connected either. Personally, I do not like Sony Ericsson's universal plug design. I want a separate charging plug and a separate 3.5mm headphone jack as well. Hard to imagine how such an obvious oversight can be overlooked.
Good sound, short range, Sony products are amazing July 13, 2007 R. Gomez (Dominican Republic) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Good sound, the device sends a good sound to the radio, not a great sound but you can solve it with MEGABASS and a good equalizer or something like that. For cities the range is very short, you even have to put it next to the radio. Outside the cities it has more range and the sound is better. This is because all the frequencies in the city. If you have a Sony Ericsson W series and this device, try upgrading your memory stick Pro Duo to a 4GB and you won't regret it. Good bye CD, DVD, USB and everything else, you can even share your music if someone needs it. Remove your car antena if you don't listen to the radio in the city for a better reception. This is guaranteed.
Yeah, it's bad... December 17, 2006 A. Cymbal (New Paltz, NY USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I had to find out for myself and I am not disappointed because I expected it to be bad. I will be returning it. To make it worse, there is no connection at the bottom to plug in the charger as the picture shows. So it is a big drain on your phone battery. The reception is so bad and even if you get it good, its barely FM quality. Sony, please listen and fix this. It is a really great concept.
