Great phone, so-so battery life January 5, 2008 B. David (San Jose, CA, USA) Bought this phone for my wife. Choice was either this phone, or Nokia N75. She wanted this phone. Since owning for a month, she's been very happy w/it. However, there are a few cons that I must point out. 1)battery life is not the greatest. In general, this phone needs a recharge about every 3 days, and it's not like my wife uses it all day. 2)can't handle MP3s as ringtones. Not sure why, but currently, I can't find a way to have an MP3 as the ringtone.
very nice phone February 23, 2008 Johnny C 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
This phone is not very expensive and it is simple to use. The camera is very nice. Overall I am very satisfied with the phone.
LG Shine Review March 25, 2008 Ryan L. Fickes I bought the red LG Shine because the silver one was out of stock, but I recommend you get the silver one unless you're a girl because the red is more of a lipstick looking red and a little pinkish in the sunlight. I've had the phone for about 2 months now and have had no problems. The only thing I don't like about the phone is the scratches on the front face of the phone and also a .mp3 has to be under 300kb in order for it to be used as a ringtone.
Nice. July 7, 2008 K. Baker 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I knew I wanted this phone after the first commercial. I've had it for about 3 weeks, and it has yet to disappoint me. Battery life is awesome. I charge it every night, if it needs it or not. I can talk for a combined 5-6 hours before one of the battery bars goes down. I can go about 4-5 days with short conversations before I have to charge it again. The camera is pretty nice, if not a little slow. The "Flash" makes a better flashlight than camera flash, unless you want to blind someone. You have to be within 2 feet of the subject in order for the flash to work. The screen is kinda of annoying; having to clean it off all the time, but I knew I was going to have to do that when I bought a phone with a mirror surface. The same with texting. I text an awful lot, and the keys are small, but I don't mind it. Again, I knew what I was getting into when I bought the thing. So far the only con I have found with the CU720 is how long it takes to come on. At least a minute to a minute and thirty seconds. That's just a little too long... I would definitely recommend the CU720.
disappointing photo quality August 16, 2008 D. Bartuska (Nanticoke, PA United States) For a claimed 2.0 megapixel camera, the outdoor photo quality of the LG Shine is not the greatest. I upgraded to the Shine from a 1.3 megapixel Samsung Sync. hoping for better pictures. However, when comparing the exact same shot from both cameras, the Samsung was a definite winner. I am truly disappointed in the LG.
