would not work July 24, 2008 S. Finlayson (NH) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This was very inexpensive, but considering that it did not work, it was a bust. I wanted to use it to pipe audio from my Treo to my car, using a 3.5 mm male to 3.5 mm male extension and the car's 3.5 mm female input jack, which works great when I attach it to my iPod. This adapter did not work to connect the Treo. Disappointing, to say the least, but I did not have a lot of skin in it, so it was not a big deal.
Be careful before buying this August 29, 2008 M. Gibbs 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I wanted to share my experience with you so if you are considering this adapter you will not waste your money like I did. We have 2 new cell phones from Verizon. A LG ENV2 and a Motorola Adventure V750. I bought 2 of these adapters for my Motorola thinking that it said Motorola, would work fine. It didn't. However, it does work on the LG phone. I think this adapter works with the ORIGINAL RAZR and not the RAZR 2 or Adventure. The $12.99 adapter that Verizon sells works with both phones, so I guess I will live with that and my wife gets to listen to her music now!
Allows use of 3.5mm headphones with cell phones June 28, 2008 L. G. CHARLOT (California, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this adapter to allow use of regular stereo headphones (3.5mm plug) with the MP3 Player feature of a Motorola w755 cell phone. It works perfectly and I have tried it with several different Sony Walkman style headphones. The cable seems to be well made and uses connector plugs that fit tightly into the phone and the headphones. The wire is very small diameter so you might want to handle it as gently as possible and be careful to not subject it to tight bends or twisting.
Does NOT work with any stereo headphones as promised August 17, 2008 Kevin (USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Does NOT work with ANY stereo headphones as promised. Tried 3 different pairs of headphones and in all cases there was only sound out of one side. Note: Buy an adapter with only two lines on the male end (witness in the picture how there are three lines) and you should be fine. The three lines are for: Left, Right, and Microphone. Therein lies the problem, you want two lines, one for Left and one for Right, since headphones don't have a microphone.
Does not work for my Blackberry 8830 June 30, 2008 Alberto Gemin (New York City, USA) I am sorry for giving this item one star only because it's probably my or RIM's fault. Fact is it does not work with my Blackberry 8830. You plug it in and the BB speaker stays on while nothing comes out of the cable. Does not work for me. But it looks well manufactured. They say this works: Seidio Audio Adaptor (2.5mm male jack to 3.5mm female adaptor) for BlackBerry 8100 Pearl, BlackBerry 8800/8820/8830. I will try it next (10 bucks though!!!).
